What is, actually, Luffa?

Luffa is really a cucumber!
After the harvest the flesh is removed from the Luffa fruits and the cell scaffolding is dried which is cut afterwards in the desired fungous dimensions. Or it will leave nature.
This loofah with his white network, is hard in the dry state and is rough, but is very soft in the run-warm water.
